Queer and (ex-) ultraorthodox

Shiffra Feygin grew up in an ultraorthodox community in Israel. In her adolescence she startet to identify herself as queer – which was a harsh contrast to her strict orthodox Jewish life.

Some years ago she left the community and started a new life in the secular world. Today Shifra lives in Germany.

In this workshops she will tell us about her pesonal story and what it means to be queer and ultraorthodox and she will connect her expieriences to the queer Jewish life in Germany.  The workshop will contain interactive parts and gives space to ask questions.
